Final Construction Drawings Submitted June 2 by 7pm

All of our students came together over the last week or so to make a major last push on the submittals required by the Department of Engery for payment.  Engineering team worked on their drawings, energy analysis, and narratives and our outreach team came together with the market viability section, communications plan, and dinner menus.

Our architecture team worked frantically through the weekend and the first couple days of the week to pull our Construction Drawings together.  Neal worked from home despite being sick putting together our cost estimate while Steve worked away at our specifications.  Dave and Deanna put the finishing touches on our drawings while Jared and Dan formatted everything into a consistent and catchy graphic package and Keoni and I revised, bookmarked, and threw it all together.  Whew- what a lot of work!

Exit Reviews Complete

Yesterday, May 28th, our graduating students in the Masters of Architecture program completed their exit reviews.  All of our team members did well and we're very proud of their success.  Not surprisingly, the Solar Decathlon came up in many of the public lectures that they presented on a topic of their choice.  Friends, faculty, and community members got to hear about our architectural designs in terms of interstitial space, framing methods, green design, moving customizable space, and more.  Congratulations Neal, Steve, Dave, Deanna, Matt, Dan, Michael, Jared, Andrew, and Kris!
